Aromas of toasted bread, apple, pear and subtle hints of vanilla appear on the nose. More apple and pear by mouth, with hints of citrus, and butter from the malolactic fermentation creating a rounded mouthfeel. A richer viscosity on the palate is noticeable from the barrel fermentation and aging. Lingering notes of crème bruleè and butterscotch are present, creating a strong, yet elegant finish to this wine.
