This wine features a brilliant nose of blackberry compote, boysenberry reduction, mountain flowers, cigar box, vanilla bean, and crushed herbs on the nose. The palate is perhaps the most concentrated and complete yet for this wine, with deep dark black currant, plum, violet, savory herbs, licorice root, and mocha powder. Due to its top fruit pedigree and heavy Cabernet component, this wine should age very well. Drink 2024-2040.

"This is 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot, with fruit coming from Discovery (37%), Klipsun (20%), Seven Hills (15%), Wallula (13%), Heart of the Hill (8%), and Champoux vineyards. Fresh herb, cocoa, black cherry, vanilla bean, flower, licorice, coffee, and scorched earth aromas lead to bountiful, seamless dark fruit flavors, speckled with chocolate and cocoa accents. Firm tannic structure backs it all up, with plenty of freshness keeping it all vivid. An extended finish caps it off. It’s shockingly good. Enjoy from 2025 to 2036. Decant if drinking in the near term. Whenever you open it, enjoy a front row seat of the beauty of Washington wine."

"Dense, chewy and loaded with rich black fruit flavors, the 2020 Columbia Valley’ Red Wine by Passing Time is a serious value from this challenging vintage. Mostly coming from the Discovery, Klipsun and Seven Hills Vineyards, this nearly all Cabernet Sauvignon wine (7% Merlot blended in) displays mocha, tar and violets on the nose with shades of menthol. The palate is smooth and medium to full-bodied with a soft texture. Copious minerals combine with the deep core of dark fruits and hints of creosote. Really good now, this will continue to evolve over the next five plus years. No reason to wait! Drink 2023-2028"
