Great dark color, aromas of blackberries, boysenberries, anise seed, and wintergreen. The palate is deep and concentrated, with blackberry liqueur, vanilla, flower pollen, and licorice pastille. The firm structure, deep mid-palate, and structured finish, this wine promises a lot of enjoyment in the future. Drink 2027-2040.
95 Points- International Wine Report - "About ⅔ of the fruit comes from the Seven Hills and ⅓ from the Pepper Bridge vineyards while aging on about 60% new French oak. Medium to dark purple core, with a neon pink rim in the glass, this is another stunning effort from Chris Peterson. Darker and richer than its siblings, with bountiful aromas and flavors of crushed blackberry, cassis, Thai spices, dark chocolate, candied violet, pencil shavings, wet earth, and a hint of eucalyptus - this is going to need a few years in the bottle to come around. Powerfully structured and incredibly tannic with a dark fruit core, it finishes strong and long. Better in 2025."
